Welcome to the University of Pennsylvania Alpha Phi Omega website!

Leadership

In the area of leadership, from within our own fraternity, people are transformed from followers to leaders sometimes without really being aware of the development. It can happen gradually, or it might happen overnight – today a follower, tomorrow a leader.

Friendship

Brotherhood is the spirit of friendship. Every day we must challenge ourselves to be a better friend and to be more understanding, compassionate, welcoming and trusting. Our fellowship program provides opportunities for social interaction among all brothers.

Service

Our chapter service program allows you to develop social awareness, friendships and leadership skills while leaving an impact on our Penn and Philadelphia community. Our service program is a defining characteristic of what makes Alpha Phi Omega a unique fraternity.

Don’t just take our word for it.

Hear what our brothers have to say about APO!

"APO is my family away from home. It's full of people with beautiful spirits. With such diversity, you can find someone involved in everything on campus - in classes, in extracurriculars, and even in residential areas. There is no doubt that the people I am meeting in APO now will continue to be in my life for years to come."

− Jason Roberts, Alpha Phi (Fall 2014)

"I've met some of my best friends through APO. Even though we didn't have a lot of things in common in the beginning, we've bonded through music, TV shows, really weird Youtube videos, late night chats in floor lounges, being sad about difficult classes... basically everything. I just really can't imagine not knowing them and not being able to talk to these people every day, and I'm really thankful APO let me meet these people."

− Jenny Ho, Alpha Sigma (Spring 2013)

"Joining APO means personally for me is taking a big step of going out of my usual comfort zone. I became more active, more social, and more adventurous as the pledging process went on. Furthermore, being a part of APO completed some of what I consider to be necessities of a whole college experience. I would not trade it for anything else in this world."

− Lenny Wei, Alpha Upsilon (Spring 2014)
